Jodi Breckenridge is a Historian and storyteller. She has crafted her love of history and ghost stories
into a business of over two decades that spurred Jefferson being named one of the top ten spookiest
destinations in the U.S. by Trip Advisor.
Jodi has worked hard to make the history of her town come alive for visitors and residents alike. She has been featured on several national TV shows airing on the SyFy channel, A&E and the Biography Channels As well as numerous Local TV and radio shows. She was awarded the Marcia Thomas Award for her contribution to the Arts and Tourism by the Marion County Historical Commission in 2015. She also wrote and directed Murder Mystery weekends when she managed the Jefferson Hotel in the 1990s.
When she's not touring the town she's an Innkeeper at the Azalea Inn and a Substitute teacher at the High School. Her hobbies include travel, genealogy, reading, cross stitch, exploring historic locations, camping with the family and grandkids baseball/softball games. Jodi resides in Jefferson with her husband of 42 years and loves spending time with her family, her four children and their spouses and 12 grandchildren.
